“Tombstone Pillow” — A Highlight at the (FFP) Film For Peace, Brazil 2020

Running on its second year FFP (Film for Peace) is a creative and experiential platform for independent motion pictures that depicts & focuses on raising awareness about the problems of minority groups & society covering sensitive issues, such as rejection, violence, mental health, poverty and social isolation.

Judges chose the films carefully upholding certain criterion for film entries that must present “its ability to open the eyes of the viewers to real life social issues” focused to present the motion picture’s goal of showcasing Peace and reforms and keep people informed about game changing to make this world a better place.”

The award giving body recognized the significance of the short advocacy film “Tombstone Pillow” that magnified the most significant social issues of our time, that is ignored by some sectors, striving towards a nobel goal supporting and reforming leaderships, and positive change.

The narrative tells the story of a 9-year old girl who gives the Philippines wealthiest widow a tour of a graveyard that thousands of poor people call home, where she discovers what real riches are.

“Tombstone Pillow” won 18 accolades with 25 nominations to boot from different International award-giving bodies across film festivals organized in New York, Cannes, Venice, Prague, DC, Chile, Manila and Japan.
