Short Film “Tombstone Pillow” Bags Best Inspirational Film in 3 Film Festivals
“Tombstone Pillow” is a 12 minute short film that tells the story of a graveyard where thousands of poor people reside.
The plot revolves around a rich widow & a little girl. An advocacy film done inside the Historic Manila North Cemetery in the Philippines along makeshift ghettos amid tombs where a Community sits at the heart of the Cemetery.
The neighborhood that started in the 1950’s, basically “haused” the families of the caretakers of different gravesites, that slowly turned into a community of the homeless who are usually migrants from other provinces.
The short film has made its rounds in the International film circuits gaining attention & recognitions from critics.
